Chemical composition
The melt is analysed before pouring, so the alloy meets the specified designation — not just the name.
Sand casting and centrifugal casting in grey cast iron, aluminium and bronze, with full machining under the same roof. Bring us a part or a drawing — we hand back a finished, machined component.
01 — Who we are
SOLAREVIĆ, a foundry and machine shop in Vršac, does two things you rarely find in one place: we cast, and we machine. That lets us take a part from sample to finished size without sending it to three different addresses.
Most of our work is parts that are no longer in series production — cylinder heads, cylinders, exhaust manifolds, parts for older tractors, marine engines and vintage vehicles. When the original is lost or broken, we make the pattern from whatever survives.
02 — How a casting is made
The whole route stays with us, in the same yard. That shortens lead times, and if a dimension is off there is no third party to wait for.
Bring us the part, or send a photo or a drawing. If the original is broken, we measure what is left and reconstruct the geometry.
Patterns and cores are made, then the mould — hand moulding for one-offs and prototypes, machine moulding for series work.
The melt is prepared and its composition checked before pouring. Every melt is logged with its own data.
Static sand casting or centrifugal casting in a rotating mould — chosen to suit the part's geometry and the structural density required.
Annealing and stress relieving where the part calls for it, so the dimensions don't move after machining.
Turning, milling, drilling, grinding and honing to final size — in the same workshop, with no transport between operations.
Composition, hardness and dimensions are checked before the part leaves the workshop. Delivery within Serbia and abroad.
03 — Materials
Designations follow the current EN standard, with the former JUS designations alongside — because much of the documentation we receive still uses them.
| Material | Former JUS designation | Process | Typical application |
|---|---|---|---|
| EN-GJL-200 | SL 20 | Sand | Housings, covers, brackets |
| EN-GJL-250 | SL 25 | Sand · Centrifugal | Cylinders, heads, flywheels |
| EN-GJL-300 | SL 30 | Centrifugal | Cylinder liners, rings |
| Al-Si alloys | AlSi | Sand · Permanent mould | Cylinder heads, covers, lighter castings |
| Tin bronze | CuSn | Centrifugal | Plain bushings, sleeves, bearings |
| Red bronze (gunmetal) | CuSnZnPb | Sand · Centrifugal | Marine valves and fittings, flanges |
For a part not listed in the table, send a drawing or the part itself. If the material isn't one we work with, we'll tell you straight away rather than experiment.
04 — Product range
Sorted the way customers ask: by the machine the part fits, not by the process used to make it.
05 — Quality control
Composition, structure, hardness and dimensions — four checks every part passes before it is packed.
The melt is analysed before pouring, so the alloy meets the specified designation — not just the name.
A look at the microstructure — graphite form and a uniform cross-section show whether cooling was properly controlled.
Hardness is measured on the finished casting, because it determines how the part behaves in service and when machined.
Final dimensions and tolerances are checked after machining, with an inspection report supplied on request.
06 — Where we deliver
Besides the home market and the former Yugoslav countries, we deliver regularly to Austria, Germany and Italy.
07 — Next step
We'll tell you whether we can make it, by which process and how soon — before we charge you anything.
